Receiving aid and exporting food

In the same time United Nations are giving an extensive and expensive food help to the South, Northern Sudan sells abroad enough food stuff to help the whole Southern Sudan for more than a year. Please find hereafter extracts from news agencies:

Export of sorghum, December 8th

Sudan has signed 10 contracts for export of 200.000 tonnes of sorghum. The goods are going for half to neighbouring Eritrea and for half to Middle-East and European markets according to SUNA, the Sudanese news agency which states that further contracts are being negotiated.
This year’s crop is particularly good and expected to exceed by half the domestic consumption . The export ban on foodstuff has been lifted under the pressure of farmers fearing the collapse of local prices.
