Two towns fall in the hands of SPLA

According to the SPLA news agency, the SPLA has launched a major offensive in trying to overun the southern towns of Torit, Liria and Jebelein. Jebelein and Liria were captured on September 16, after the government garrisons were defeated. Heavy fighting is reported in and around Torit. 
The Sudan government army has suffered heavy casualties. A large amount of ammunition and arms including tanks have been captured, the SPLA says. Up to now 130 of the regular army were killed while 30 were taken prisoners.
